Privacy notice
Who we are
This website is run by JDOG Studios, an independent game development studio in the United Kingdom founded by Aidan Jackson. For privacy questions, use our contact form and choose “General enquiry”.
What we collect
We only collect personal information that you choose to send us through the contact form:
- your name and email address
- your organisation, if you provide it
- the type of enquiry and the content of your message
Like most websites, our hosting provider may keep short-lived technical logs (such as IP addresses) to keep the site secure and working. We also use your IP address briefly in memory to limit repeated form submissions and protect against spam.
How we use it
We use your information only to read and reply to your message, and to keep a record of our correspondence. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: responding to people who contact us. We don’t sell your information or use it for marketing without your agreement.
Who processes it
Messages are delivered to our inbox using an email delivery service, which processes the message on our behalf. Some providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards required by UK data protection law.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries only for as long as we need them to deal with your message and any follow-up conversation, and then delete them.
Cookies and tracking
This website doesn’t use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. If you choose a light or dark theme, that preference is saved in your own browser’s local storage so the site remembers it. It isn’t sent to us. Our fonts are hosted on this website, so no requests are made to third-party font services.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or object to how we use it. Contact us through the form to make a request. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
